What does it cost to sell tickets with Ticketbalie?
Ticketbalie charges a 3% + €0.50 commission per order, plus the payment method's transaction fee. There is no subscription and no setup fee: you only pay when you sell. The flat amount is per order, not per ticket. Rather not carry these costs yourself? Let your buyers pay a processing fee; you set it per event.
Does it cost anything if I give away free tickets?
No. Ticketbalie charges no commission on free tickets: a €0 order never goes through the payment provider.
When do I get paid out?
Payouts run automatically through Stripe, on your account's payout schedule. Your current balance and next payout are shown in your dashboard under Payouts.
Which payment methods can my visitors use?
You choose per event which methods to enable. Available options include iDEAL, Bancontact, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Revolut Pay and EPS. Payments run through Stripe.
Do I need special hardware to scan tickets?
No. You scan tickets with your phone's camera in the Ticketbalie app. You can give your staff their own logins, so you can see afterwards who scanned what.
Can I also sell tickets at the door?
You scan tickets at the door with the same app, without extra hardware. Selling tickets at the door with Tap to Pay on iPhone is coming; until then, visitors on site simply order online through your event page.
Can I refund an order?
Yes. You refund an order fully or partially from your dashboard. A full refund automatically revokes the matching tickets, so they no longer scan at the door.
Can I sell multi-day events and combo tickets?
Yes. You can create separate day tickets and combo tickets for multi-day events, and see per day how many were sold and scanned.
Can I use my own branding?
Yes. Your event page uses your own colours, logo and images, and you can share it with your own slug. You can also embed the ticket sales on your own website.
Do I get a VAT overview of my sales?
Yes. Per event, Ticketbalie shows your revenue, the transaction and platform costs, and a VAT breakdown of your ticket sales, so you can hand those figures to your bookkeeping.
Which countries can I use Ticketbalie in?
Ticketbalie is built for organizers in the Netherlands and Belgium. The app is available in Dutch and English.
Can visitors resell their ticket?
Yes, if you enable it for your event. Visitors then resell through the Ticketbalie marketplace, never above the original price. The old ticket is invalidated and the buyer receives a new, valid one. On a resale the buyer pays a 5% + €0.50 resale fee and Ticketbalie keeps 5% from the seller (at least €1.00 together).
